Janice has selected “Level 3” in our “Let’s Rip it” Stewardship Program
My name is Janice, I’m 30 years old and I live in the small town of Wilsall Montana. I have lived in Montana for 13 years now but I am originally from a small dairy community in very northern California.
What got me into snowmobiling was my other half, but what has kept me going was the feeling of the freedom you get while riding! Fast forward 6 years, and I have now been consistently sledding for 4. My first sled was a 1995 Skidoo 670, and now I am riding a 2019 Alpha 600. My other half (Kevin) has been very encouraging and I have progressed in my riding ability, but as many of you lovely ladies know, learning from your significant other can be challenging! Kevin is 6'2" and has brute strength! I am 5'4&"; and super petite! What he can do with just muscle I cannot! Since coming down and riding with the amazing ladies of RevItUpGirls, my riding has improved with just a couple of the tips and tricks that I have learned. In the summer when I unfortunately have to put my snowmobile to bed for the season, I have a motorcycle that keeps that adrenaline rush and that free feeling going.
"Sly"is a 2020 Yamaha MT03 naked bike and with the temps climbing well over 100 up here in the summer, is my way to feel that wind on my face and get out and feel alive. I also spend a lot of time on the water fishing or going hiking with our three dogs. The plan in the next year or so is to get a side by side so that I can do more adventuring in the three mountain ranges right around where we live. Through my experiences with RevItUpGirls I have found that I love teaching, passing on the skills I have learned, and helping women succeed in this sport. I have thoroughly enjoyed taking that knowledge and passing it on to new riders, to see that reaction and pure joy when that switch clicks is what it’s all about. Plus that is the only way we are every going to keep this sport going is to take the time to pass on our knowledge and teach the next generation of snowmobilers. In our snowmobile club we have been taking new members out and taking the time to teach them and break down the basics step by step, because I have found that a lot of these new riders are taken out and just kind of left to fend for themselves. Not how you keep the sport expanding and growing if their first reaction they have with their machine is not great, so we have taken it upon ourselves to help those new riders so that they have some little victories and wins and not just want to sell their sled by the time they get back to the trail head. I also have taken over moderating our Facebook page as well as our Website for GVSA and now know that we aren’t just a club but a family and will go above and beyond to help each other if we can. Rev It Up Girls gives me that same feeling and when riding with these ladies I feel like we can go anywhere and the sky is the limit.

Amy has selected “Level 1” in our “Let’s Rip it” Stewardship Program.
Here’s what Amy has to say
"Hi everyone! My name is Amy Perkins and I live in Star Valley, WY. I was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN. I fell in love with harsh cold winters, little snow and no mountains!
I grew up traveling a lot and made frequent trips to Wyoming which I always loved as a little girl and knew someday this was where I wanted to live. My favorite season is winter and I never had the chance to do any power sports growing up, but I was a competitive figure skater, cross country skier, downhill skier and a snowboarder.
Four years ago I saw a flyer for Rev It Up Girls at our local grocery store. I was so excited because we had just bought a snowmobile and I had no idea how to ride it other than on a trail. I thought, how cool to meet a bunch of girls and learn how to ride a sled. Well, I got hooked, and now I love snowmobiling too! Thanks so much to this club and all the great friends I have made in it too! Even though I am far from an expert at all the activities I do, I love to help out as much as I can and give back to everyone that has helped me out. Thanks for reading and hope to see you outside having a great time in nature!"

Shelby has selected “Level One” in our “Let’s Rip it” Stewardship Program.
Here’s what Shelby has to say
"Hi, my name is Shelby Hilde, I am an avid rider and adventurer out of the Idaho Panhandle. I began riding a dirt bike in 2012 and grown to love single track trails that the North Idaho area has to offer.
Recently, I have added snowmobiling, and very seldom do I turn down opportunities for adventure and to experience other areas such as SXS’s, hiking, horseback riding and to travel to new places.
My goal has always been to help newer riders expand their passion for adventure and encourage through the failures and successes we all experience in a zero-judgement setting. I am excited to join the Rev It Up Girls Club and work towards our shared goals”.
