Hailing from northern California, Brooke is a medically retired police officer who sustained a career-ending injury at a young age. She is currently, searching for a new career path and hopes to find peace and happiness with her family and friends again.
"I would love to connect with other women in the backcountry, participating in activities like dirt biking or snowmobiling, which were once my therapy. It's high time I continue to seek these outlets to feel like myself again."
Although her time with us on the mountain was brief, Brooke's experience has given her a new confidence and outlook on life. We welcome her and her family back anytime. We love you, Brooke.
Jennifer Woodie nominated Haylee for our WoW Program because Haylle wanted to feel in control again and be surrounded by non-judgmental women who could offer her some fun during her difficult times. Haylee joined us for a full day of snowmobiling in the backcountry, despite never having tried it before. Her willingness to challenge herself and trust a group of women she didn't know was a significant step forward for her.
By midday, Haylee confidence had grown remarkably, and she felt free to express herself and open up to the women around her. Haylee is a truly remarkable woman, and she will always have friends who want to see her succeed, both on the mountain and in life, and to be happy once again.
